The Big Question

Thoughts on Job 33:4

Job 33:4 KJV — The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

When I consider the phrase, “The spirit of God hath made me,” it causes me to remember that I am a new creation in Christ Jesus. I walk about in the same body that I had before salvation, but, I have been renewed from within.

Psalm 100:3 “Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. ” KJV

2 Corinthians 5:17

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

King James Version (KJV)

Some things that have become new:

I’m forgiven and have an eternal home with the Lord Jesus Christ.”

  • My belief about who God the Father is.
  • My belief about who Jesus Christ is.
  • My thoughts on the purpose of my life.
  • My attitudes about what is good for me and what is not.

Just a Thought

Since the LORD God has made me and given me life through his breath, the one question that I have considered is this:

Things that I want to know.

  • Why was I created?
  • Why are the things that I do important?
  • Why is my life in the spotlight?

My purpose for living is this one fact; to boldly say that Jesus Christ is real, and you can know him.

Precious Words

Don’t we all want to know that we are able to have a second chance?

Listen to the words of Jesus Christ in this verse.

❝Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.❞
—Luke 23: 34 (KJV)

Even after Jesus Christ made this request those that were committed to doing what was on their heart continued to do so.

That is the sad commentary that could apply to our situations today. There is the saying that goes like this, “It is better to ask for forgiveness later, rather than to ask for permission now.”

My prayer to the Lord is this, Lord Jesus help me not to have the above attitude present in my life.

Can I Remind You?

Deuteronomy 8:18

“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”

I try to remind myself of the truth of this verse as often as I can.

This verse sparked an interest in my mind after hearing it during a Sunday night sermon. As a matter of fact, I began a study in the book of Deuteronomy using my Thompson Chain Study Bible.

This one verse has been the key to a great study of the Word of God.
