I Know Who Made Me

The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life. Job 33:4

King James Bible

Memory Verse of the Month – May, 2019

Why take a month for scripture memorization?

As I consider the words of this verse, there are three ideas that come to mind.

  1. The Spirit of God.
  2. The creating power of God.
  3. The sustaining power of God.

There is so much truth wrapped up in the seventeen words found in this verse that a careful study of what is contained in the words of Scripture will bring me many hours of drawing close to God through his word.

Therefore, it will be necessary to take a month out of the year to better understand the direction of the Lord as He guides me through His Word.

At that rate, I will have memorized and studied twelve verses per year.

While I may not be awarded any prizes for my efforts on this side of eternity, it is my firm belief that the spiritual rewards will greatly outweigh any temporal successes that I might achieve.

Christian father, grandfather, teacher, author. Everyday we live our lives by faith. The question is this; Who or what is the object of our faith? I chose to put my faith in Jesus Christ on September 10, 2000. Since then my life has not been the same. There have been mountain top days as well as days spent in the valleys of life, but each of those days my Lord has carried me through. I am assured that God is for me. Psalm 56:9 When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me. So, whatever you are facing today, you can have this confidence in the LORD. He is for you.
